Salary: Band D £37,663- £45,118 (dependent on experience)  

Hours: 35 hours per week  

Contract: 2 years 

Location: Home-based, with some UK travel for outreach opportunities and to London area for team meetings 

Responsible to: Head of Science and Health Education

Fancy leading a new Education Programme for an innovative growing Breast Cancer Charity that is focused on reducing the risk of breast cancer? Then read on. We're looking for a skilled educator who can develop, project manage and implement the Breast Cancer UK Education Programme to strengthen our audience engagement and facilitate new relationships with stakeholders.  

 

If you are innovative, creative and passionate about education then we'd love to hear from you. We've been steadily growing over the last few years and we're now looking to implement our new exciting approach.  

 

This is a new role in our growing team, and you will strategically lead the Breast Cancer UK Education Programme to engage new audiences with our breast cancer prevention educational content. 

Breast Cancer UK is a growing organisation and you will need to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues across the organisation. The role will evolve to be responsible for several part-time education facilitators and as a team you’ll lead our Education Programme with the Head of Science and Health Education. 

You will need to be highly motivated and organised. You will have an excellent knowledge of pedagogical approaches and be proficient in project management. A background in healthcare is desirable. 

 

About Breast Cancer UK: 

We are a national breast cancer charity focussed entirely on breast cancer prevention:  

  • We fund scientific research into environmental and chemical links to breast cancer. 

  • We educate and raise awareness about the lifestyle and environmental risk factors of breast cancer, empowering people to reduce their risk of developing the disease. 

  • We campaign for policies that protect people’s health and promote the prevention of breast cancer.

About you: 

 

You will be a highly motivated individual with experience as detailed below:  

  • Demonstrable experience and success in leadership within an educational setting. 

  • Comprehensive experience in project management. 

  • Experience or professional qualification in science or healthcare.  

  • Proven people management experience and expertise. 

  • Ability to prioritise, manage and coordinate multiple projects with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver to deadlines. 

  • Ability to manage and develop effective working relationships with people at all levels internally and externally, including members of the public.
